Zero Carbon Building

A HK$240 million joint project between the Construction Industry Council and the Hong Kong Government’s Development Bureau, the Zero Carbon Building (ZCB) is the first building in Hong Kong to produce absolutely no carbon emissions.

Strategies used to achieve this environmental milestone included: using low energy, low waste solutions; using locally sourced materials; and using recycled materials where possible. With Palmeco being composed of recyclable palm fiber waste, it was the perfect material for the ZCB, additionally providing a comfortable interior.
